Skylar Edgerton, 6th Grade

Skylar is very excited to join the Exploris teaching team. She is originally from Oklahoma where she gained her BA in Social Studies Education from Northeastern State University, and is now completing her Master's degree in Literacy Education at Appalachian State University. She has taught secondary social studies and ELA, with an emphasis on history. Her main goal in teaching is helping students learn to love and appreciate history and reading while fostering an inclusive environment for all students. When she is not teaching, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family, especially her husband and their cat.
